Inefficient windows may be causing you to use more energy. Install to save money and keep air indoors, PSE’s windows rebate can help. Only homes with existing single-pane windows qualify for the ENERGY STAR® window incentive. The ENERGY STAR window incentive does not apply to homes with existing double-pane windows.

What you get

You must have existing single-pane, wood or metal-framed windows or patio doors to qualify for this incentive. Puget Sound Energy will be offering higher window incentives for customers that live in manufactured homes. See table below for details. In addition to increasing our incentives for manufactured homes, we will also be doing increased marketing of these incentives. If you’re eligible for this offer, you receive a rebate of $50 per window, up to a $750 maximum.

To be eligible for this incentive:

  • Your property must use natural gas as the primary source of its space heating.
  • Your existing windows must be single-paned.
  • Your new windows must be rated by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC).
  • Insulation upgrades may be required.
  • The maximum bid amount for installed window cost is $31 per square foot.

  • Your existing windows must be single-paned, single-paned with storm windows or double-paned with metal frames.
  • Your new windows must be rated by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC).
  • Insulation upgrades may be required.
  • The maximum bid amount for installed window cost is $31 per square foot.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a residential PSE customer who uses electricity or natural gas from PSE for the main heating source and installs qualifying windows in a structure with four units or less.
  • Home must be fully insulated with at least R-38 insulation in attic, R-11 insulation in walls and R-19 insulation in floors.
  • Upgrade from existing single-pane windows or double-pane aluminum framed windows to energy-efficient windows (.30 U-factor or lower).
  • Have a licensed, bonded and insured contractor install windows to manufacturer specifications. Mail or fax this rebate form within 90 days of the installation date.
  • Windows must have NFRC (National Fenestration Rating Council) certified U-factor ratings.
  • Provide proof of purchase (in the form of a paid invoice showing total square footage of window replacement from our installing window contractor) and your signature verifying that your pre-existing windows were single-pane or doublepane aluminum framed windows
  • Rebate does not apply to new construction, additions that expand the home’s square or cubic footage or do-it-yourself installations.
  • One rebate for window upgrades per site address. All rebates processed automatically agree to periodic inspection.Upgrade from existing single-pane or double-pane aluminum or wood windows to energy-efficient windows (.30 U-factor or better)
